What data we collect
We collect only the data you choose to send us:
- Contact form: name, phone or WhatsApp, email, company, industry, subject and the message you write. Only name, phone, email and message are required.
- WhatsApp, phone and email: when you tap the links on this website, the conversation takes place outside it, in the app you choose, and we use the information you share there.
Please do not send documents or sensitive details about your case in this first contact. If they are needed, we will agree on the safest way to receive them.
How we use it
- to respond to your message and schedule a conversation with the partners;
- to understand your needs and assess whether the firm can take on the matter;
- to prepare a proposal for services, when you request one;
- to comply with legal obligations and the rules governing the legal profession.
We do not use your data for advertising and do not send messages you have not asked for.
Legal bases
We process data on the basis of Article 7 of the LGPD:
- Consent (item I), given by checking the box on the form;
- Preliminary procedures for a contract requested by you (item V);
- Compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation (item II);
- Regular exercise of rights, including in legal proceedings (item VI).
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or transfer your data. It passes only through the providers that keep this website running, acting as processors under our instructions:
- Form service, which receives the message and forwards it to the firm’s email;
- Hosting service, which keeps the website online.
These providers may store data outside Brazil, with the safeguards required by the LGPD. Data may also be disclosed to authorities when required by law or by a court order.
How long we keep it
If the contact does not lead to an engagement, we keep the data for as long as needed to respond and follow up on the conversation, and then delete it. If the firm is engaged, the data becomes part of the client file and is kept for the periods required by law and by the rules of the OAB.
Security and confidentiality
This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to messages is restricted to the partners and staff of the firm. Everything you tell us is protected by the professional secrecy established in the Brazilian Statute of the Legal Profession (Law No. 8,906/1994) and in the OAB Code of Ethics and Discipline.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies or any analytics, tracking or advertising tools. Its fonts and files are served by the website itself, with no calls to third parties. The browser stores only two markers, with no personal data: a temporary one for the transition between pages, and one with the language you chose (Portuguese or English), so the website always opens in that language.
Your rights
Under Article 18 of the LGPD, you may request at any time:
- confirmation that we process your data;
- access to the data;
- correction of incomplete or outdated data;
- anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data;
- portability to another provider;
- deletion of data processed with your consent;
- information about who we share the data with;
- withdrawal of consent.
You may also file a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
How to make a request
Send your request to contato@manicaborba.com or through WhatsApp. To protect you, we may ask you to confirm your identity before responding. We respond within the time limits set by the LGPD.
Changes to this policy
